To all Filipino workers overseas, COMELEC has announced the implementation of the OnlineVoting System (OCVS) for migrant workers. This is basically an online voting procedure system thataims to make voting more accessible and convenient for overseas Filipinos, who may not be able to physically vote in their nearest PH Embassy or Consulate.
As an overseas Filipino worker, it is your right and responsibility to participate in the Philippine elections. Your vote matters and can contribute to shaping the future of the country. With the OVCS, you can now exercise this right without the need to travel back to the Philippines or visit an embassy.

What is OCVS?
The Online Voting System (OCVS) is an electronic voting system by COMELEC that allows eligible overseas Filipinos to cast their votes remotely through the internet.
The usual premise in previous national elections is that overseas voters needed to physically be present at a designated embassy or consulate to cast their votes. With OCVS, eligible overseas Filipinos can now vote from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
For those who still want to go to the diplomatic locations, you can still do so and walk-in (or make an appointment) during the election period.
Eligibility for OCVS
To be eligible for OCVS, you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be a registered voter with an active status.
- You must be physically outside of the Philippines during the election period.
- You must have a valid email address and access to a stable internet connection.
How to Register for OCVS
To register for OCVS, follow these steps:
- Visit the COMELEC website and click on the Overseas Voting tab.
- Select Pre-Registration for Overseas Voters.
- Fill out the necessary personal information and submit the form.
- Once your pre-registration is approved, you will receive an email confirmation with your login details.
- On election day, log in to the OCVS portal using your registered email address and password.
- Cast your vote following the instructions on the portal.
- After submitting your ballot, you will receive a confirmation email that your vote has been successfully casted.
